2. Document Collection
- Document collection is a crucial part of the bankruptcy process. It is where you provide Slayton Law with documents that are legally required for us to properly prepare your bankruptcy petition.
- On the day you hire Slayton Law, you will be given three things: 1) a list of the documents we need from you, 2) the date these documents are due (usually a week after your initial appointment), and 3) the signing date for your bankruptcy papers (usually two weeks after your initial appointment).
- Time is of the essence here. Please do all you can to meet these document collection deadlines.
- If you have questions or need assistance, just call us a 434-979-7900.
- You may get the documents to our office by delivering them, snail mailing them, emailing them, or faxing them.
